England set to play France in Four Nations warm-up
England will play France this October as part of preparations for the Four Nations tournament at the end of the current season.
The game will take place at the 17,518 seater Parc des Sports stadium in Avignon, southern France on the 21st of October.
England Knights, Steve McNamara’s England youth team, will also play a French side in the Autumn of 2011 in England. The Knights are a supplementary pool of players available to the national team and add valuable pressure for international selection among the sport’s top stars.
The Four Nations is scheduled to take place at the end of October with the first games taking place on Saturday 29th October. The tournament will be contested between England, Australia and New Zealand in addition to Wales who qualified for the tournament by defeating France in the final game of the 2010 European Cup.
The tournament is set to open with a double header at Wembley Stadium, featuring England vs Australia and Wales vs New Zealand.
