Super League viewing figures hit top 10

Super League enjoyed another high ratings week during round two of the Stobart Super League with live Super League appearing twice in the top 10 most watched programmes on Sky Sports 1.

The latest statistics covering round two of the Super League, the weekend of St Helens first game televised game at Langtree Park versus Salford City Reds (Friday) and Wigan Warriors versus Leeds Rhinos (Saturday), showed the games placing fifth and eighth respectively in the top 10 most watched programmes on Sky Sports 1.

Saints’ game with Salford received an average audience of 278,000 viewers while Wigan’s game with Leeds received an average audience of 220,000 viewers. The top four spots were filled with Football coverage. In contrast last season’s Magic weekend, during the corresponding week in February, ranked in 10th position with 140,000 average viewers.

Super League Fulltime, Sky Sports Sunday review programme, received an average of 79,000 viewers, with the programme moving up to second in the top 10 of programmes shown on Sky Sports 4. Super League Fulltime also featured in 10th position for viewed programmes on Sky Sports 3 in its repeated timeslot.
